When Charlotte Butterfill of the Butterfly Preschool Clapham took over Compton Nursery in 2018, she decided to retain its Montessori roots. Now modernised and expanded, the new-look Butterfly Preschool Wimbledon is run out of St Mark’s Church and the neighbouring hall. Expect plenty of hands-on learning and collaborative play during both the morning and afternoon sessions. Note: in the academic year when a child turns four, five mornings a week are compulsory to ensure they are prep-school-ready.
