Year 1 & 2 visit Seven Stories and enjoy an exciting and imaginative day of advent

Argyle House’s Year 1 & 2 visited Seven Stories, the UK’s National Centre for Children’s Books to take part in an exciting expedition to sail the Seven Stories Sea (in their imagination!).

'Our intrepid adventurers met a sailor who had misplaced a very special shell from a mermaid. Using teamwork, they built a boat which they sailled off on but unfortunately they encountered many problems like an erupting volcano and a fish with legs and piranha teeth! After a close shave with a group of pirates, the missing shell was found and returned it to its mermaid owner.

The pupils wrote about their exciting adventure on a postcard. Afterwards it was time to explore some the Seven Stories famous galleries with stories like The Tiger Who Came To Tea. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out!'
