Bishop's Stortford College Students Celebrate Outstanding A Level Success

 

Students at Bishop's Stortford College are celebrating an exceptional set of A Level results, reflecting their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout their Sixth Form journey.



Students achieved an impressive 48% of grades at A*-A and 78% at A*-B, with 24% securing three or more A*-A grades*. The cohort also celebrated a 100% pass rate, while six students achieved remarkable results, gaining three or more A* grades.

The College's creative subjects once again delivered outstanding results. Students studying the arts and design performed exceptionally strongly, with 85% of Art grades awarded at A*-A, alongside 83% in Drama, 80% in Film Studies, and 68% in 3D Design. These achievements will see students progress to a range of highly competitive university courses, including architecture, and engineering-related degrees.

Success was equally evident across the other A Level subjects. Students studying French achieved particularly impressive results, with 80% of grades awarded at A*-A, while 63% of Geography grades and 58% of Economics grades reached this level.

Among the individual successes, Annabel P achieved full marks in A Level Art and has been recognised as one of the top performers in the country, while Finn P secured full marks in 3D Design. Both students will now continue to develop their talents at university to study Architecture, with Annabel progressing to Loughborough University, and Finn progressing to Clare College, Cambridge.

Students holding offers from Cambridge have all successfully secured their places.

The College's international students also enjoyed outstanding success, with Victoria B (Luxembourg) achieving four A* grades and securing a place to read Law at King's College London, while Ben L (Hong Kong) achieved three A* grades and an A in his EPQ (the highest possible grade in the subject) and will study English at the University of Edinburgh; an exceptional achievement for a student for whom English is an additional language. Aaron R, a full UK boarder, also achieved four A* grades and will study Civil Engineering at Imperial College London.

Aaron will be joined at Imperial by Ben C, who achieved three A* grades and an A in Further Mathematics AS, and Reuben O, who secured two A* grades and two A grades, with both pursuing engineering-related courses. Other notable destinations include Maya D to Vogue College of Fashion for Fashion Communication and Industry Practice, Grace M to Exeter for Drama, Rosie A to the Royal Northern College of Music for Popular Music, and Harriet B, combining academic success with her achievements in golf, to Loughborough University for Psychology of Sport and Exercise.
