Godolphin School Celebrates A- Level Success Ahead of Exciting New Chapter

Godolphin School is celebrating another year of excellent A-level results, with students achieving outstanding outcomes across a wide range of subjects. These results reflect the hard work, resilience and ambition of the students, alongside the dedicated support of staff, families and the wider school community. Students have been celebrating success across the breadth of subjects offered at Godolphin, from the sciences and humanities to the creative and performing arts.


2026 Results snapshot:

  • Students achieved 21% A* grades more than double the national average.
  • Students achieved 45% A*- A grades surpassing the national average of 29%
  • Students achieved 71% A*- B grades surpassing the national average of 56%
  • 100% of students secured a place to a university of their choice

Head, Jenny Price, said:

'Congratulations to our students on this year's outstanding A-Level results. These achievements are a testament not only to their hard work, ambition and perseverance, but also reflect our core values where academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand.

'We are immensely proud of our Upper Sixth students and all they have achieved. Throughout their time at Godolphin, they have demonstrated resilience, curiosity and a determination to succeed, making a significant contribution to the life of the school. We congratulate them on their well-earned success and wish them every happiness as they take their next steps and embrace the exciting opportunities ahead.'


Congratulations to:

  • Mia A has achieved A*, A, A to secure her place at University of Birmingham to study Physiotherapy.
  • Kaitlin M and Sofiia S both achieved remarkable set of results (A*, A*, B) to secure places at their respective destinations. Additionally, they also gained an A* in their Extend Project Qualification (EPQ).
  • Phoebe P and Emily P both earnt A*, A*, A in their respective subjects with the highest grades of year.

We would also like to add our congratulations to the following students: Flora D-B, Katie G, Jemima H, Isabelle M, Jemima O’G and Anna W who all achieved one or more grade value added for each qualification taken.

Head of Sixth Form, Katherine Tarring, added:

'We are enormously proud of these students, not only of the grades that they have achieved, but also of the dedication and hard work that they have demonstrated. While it’s always sad to bid farewell to our students, it’s also wonderful to see them setting out on such varied and exciting paths. As ever, their diverse destinations reflect the breadth of talents and passions, and it’s wonderful to see them leave us as confident, ambitious and compassionate young people.'

Incoming Head, Chafyn Godolphin, Chris Eades, commented:

'I am delighted by the fantastic news of our A-level students. It is testament to the students; their hard work and sustained commitment to improvement alongside the high-quality relationships that exist between staff and students that allow the best in everyone to shine. We wish them well as leavers and know they go into the world well prepared through their time spent with us.'

From September, Godolphin and Chafyn Grove will come together as Chafyn Godolphin School, combining their strengths to create a leading co-educational day school for Salisbury and the surrounding region. The new school will provide an exceptional educational experience for students from Nursery to Sixth Form.

As Godolphin celebrates the achievements of our 2026 Sixth Form cohort, these results are a fitting tribute to the school's longstanding tradition of academic excellence, individual ambition and personal growth. These values will continue to beat the heart of Chafyn Godolphin School as it begins an exciting new chapter.
