Outstanding results open doors to exciting futures for Reigate Grammar students
Students at Reigate Grammar School are celebrating another outstanding set of A Level and BTEC results, with exceptional academic achievement matched by an impressive breadth of destinations.
From medicine to astrophysics, to blue chip degree apprenticeships, and careers in elite industries, from finance, to law to media, to management and entrepreneurialism – students head off to employment, world class universities and extraordinary futures.
The grades are amongst the best in the country with 94% of A Level grades A*–B and 76% A or A*, while an exceptional 38% of all A Level grades were awarded at A*.
Dozens of students achieved A*s in every one of their A Level subjects, while 77 students achieved standards of A* or A in every subject they studied.
There were many examples of exceptional success such as 97% of BTEC results awarded at Distinction and every Art student achieving an A*.
Students are heading to leading universities to study subjects including Medicine, Management, Physics, Economics, History, English, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Law and Languages. Some are taking their talents overseas, including sports scholarships in the United States. Students have secured highly competitive apprenticeships in engineering and technology, accounting, banking and finance, including an apprenticeship with global energy technology company Schneider Electric.
Reigate Grammar Students accomplishments extend far beyond the exam rooms with so many exceptional stories such as the future medical student who achieved three A*s and enjoyed leading roles in school drama productions, also performing in numerous music concerts throughout her time at RGS. Another student, who represents Great Britain in lacrosse, will combine her sporting ambitions with studying Law at university.
Headmaster Shaun Fenton said:
'These exceptional results open doors of opportunity, but a great education is about enjoying childhood while developing the qualities of character and the future-ready skills for a happy and successful adult life. These results are a wonderful reflection of the talent and hard work of our students, but also of the teachers and parents who have supported them throughout their RGS journey.'
All RGS Sixth Form students take part in the RGS Leadership Development Programme and contribute to the wider community through volunteering. Alongside their academic studies, they are encouraged to thrive in sport, music, drama, community service and a wide-ranging co-curricular programme, while personalised guidance helps each student explore the university, apprenticeship or career pathway that best matches their individual strengths and ambitions.
For the Class of 2026, Results Day marks the beginning of an exciting next chapter.
