RGS Surrey Hills celebrates strong A Level results
Students at RGS Surrey Hills are celebrating their A Level results today, with the school reporting a significant increase in its top grades.
With a significant rise in our top A Level grades, with over a fifth of all grades awarded at A*–A and nearly half at A*–B. The proportion of A*–A grades has more than doubled this year, alongside some exceptional individual achievements across our Upper Sixth.
All students applying to university have secured places at their first-choice institutions, with destinations including King’s College London, Durham University, the Royal Veterinary College, the University of Exeter and UCL. Students are also heading further afield, with international destinations including Boston, Barcelona and Gothenburg.
Hayley Robinson, Headmistress of RGS Surrey Hills, said:
'I am incredibly proud of this year group. I have watched them grow up and seen them embrace every opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.
'Their results reflect far more than academic achievement. They speak to the determination, character and ambition of a remarkable group of young people who have supported one another and contributed so much to our school community.
”The results come as RGS Surrey Hills continues to strengthen its academic provision, with a focus on excellent teaching, high expectations and ensuring that students are supported and challenged as individuals.'
Ms Robinson added:
'Today’s results show the academic momentum building across the school, and we are only getting started.
'Our ambition is for every student to achieve the very best results they can and to have the guidance, opportunities and confidence to take those results wherever their ambitions lead them.
'That might be a leading UK university, an international destination, a specialist institution or an entirely different pathway. Success will look different for every young person and our job is to know them well enough to help them find the path that is right for them.
'We are enormously proud of the Class of 2026 and tremendously excited about what lies ahead.'
