These results reflect the College's commitment to developing confident, creative and analytical thinkers, equipping pupils with the knowledge and skills to tackle real-world challenges and pursue ambitious futures in fields such as engineering, architecture, technology and design.
73% or more of results in Drama, Geography, and Spanish were also graded 9-7.
Commenting on the results, Dr Peter O'Connor, Senior School Deputy Head (Academic) at Bishop's Stortford College said, '
We are immensely proud of our pupils and all they have achieved. These excellent GCSE results are the culmination of their journey so far through the College and reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the dedication, expertise, and encouragement of the staff who have supported them every step of the way.
'At Bishop’s Stortford College, we believe that success looks different for every pupil. Whether their strengths lie in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage, or through the many co-curricular opportunities available to them, we are committed to helping every young person discover their talents, fulfil their potential and develop the confidence to succeed. As a forward-looking, pupil-centred school, our modern approach and ambition extend far beyond examination results. We strive to nurture curiosity, character, adaptability and ambition, equipping our pupils with the skills and mindset they will need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.'
O’Connor continues '
We are delighted to congratulate our pupils on their achievements and look forward to welcoming many of them into the Sixth in September; which coincides with the opening of our new state of the art Sixth Form Centre. Throughout their time in the Sixth, they will benefit from an extensive range of academic and co-curricular opportunities, greater independence and leadership experiences, and expert guidance as they begin to shape their future pathways. Surrounded by a community of talented and determined young people and exceptional teaching and support staff, they will be encouraged to explore their interests, broaden their horizons, and make the most of every opportunity available to them.'
'We are excited to continue supporting them on the next stage of their journey, helping them to develop their academic potential, pursue their ambitions and prepare with confidence for university, the workplace and the opportunities that lie beyond.'
