From exceptional top grades to significant individual progress, the results tell the story of a year group in which success has taken many different forms. As a non-selective girls’ school, Prior’s Field is proud to celebrate the hard work and achievement behind every result, with girls now ready to take their next steps with confidence.

The Arts continue to shine at Prior’s Field, where excellence can be found in every creative endeavour from the classroom and the written word to the easel and the Recital Hall. Across English, Music, Religious Studies and Creative Arts, pupils are encouraged to explore, create and express themselves with confidence and originality.
There were particularly strong performances across English. 22% of girls achieved A* in English Literature and English Language, while an exceptional 63% achieved A* in World Literature. World Literature has a particularly strong tradition at Prior’s Field, with the school having previously received recognition for exceptional achievement in the subject.
Music students also celebrated excellent results. Head of Music, Mr Pratt, said:
'Music GCSE expects candidates to be not only confident and accomplished performers with an aptitude for creative and developmental composition, but also coherent essay writers and masters at music dictation.
'With 50% achieving Grades 9–8 and 90% achieving Grades 9–7, we are delighted with this year's results and wish to congratulate this 2026 Music cohort on their hard work.'
Religious Studies also delivered particularly strong results, with nearly 50% of grades awarded at Grades 8 and 9 across the Full Course and Short Course qualifications.
Religious Studies teacher, Mr Ahmedi, said:
'I’m absolutely thrilled with a fantastic set of results in Religious Studies. The brilliant grades achieved reflect two years of exemplary hard work and commitment put in by the girls.
'They should be proud of their amazing accomplishments. They really have been a joy to teach, and I wish them all the very best with everything they choose to do next and beyond.'
Girls also achieved strong results across the creative subjects, reflecting the breadth of academic and creative opportunity available at Prior’s Field. Head of Creative Arts, Ms Curtin, said:
'We are incredibly proud of our Creative Arts students. They have truly flourished throughout their GCSE courses and today’s results are a testament to their ambition and hard work. They are a group who have not been afraid to take creative risks, showing real innovation in the way they have combined skills across Art, Photography and Textiles. We are delighted with all they have achieved and are really looking forward to working with them at A Level.'
Looking Ahead to Sixth Form
For many students, results day marks the beginning of the next stage of their journey. Omy will remain at Prior’s Field Sixth Form to study STEM subjects continuing to build on her strengths.
Sophie will also continue into Prior’s Field Sixth Form, where she plans to study English Literature, Psychology and Chemistry. Sophie achieved a Grade 8 in English Literature and an 8 in Science at GCSE, providing a strong foundation for her chosen A Level subjects.
Head, Zoe Ireland, said:
'I am incredibly proud of every single one of our girls today. I remember speaking to Year 11 before their examinations and reminding them that all any of us can ask is that they do their very best. Today is about recognising just how much hard work, determination and commitment has gone into every individual result.
'Every girl’s achievement is her own, and every success deserves to be celebrated. For some, that means achieving the very highest grades; for others, it is about exceeding expectations or reaching a goal they have worked incredibly hard towards. Every one of our girls should feel enormously proud of what she has achieved and excited about the opportunities that now lie ahead.'
Prior’s Field is immensely proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have achieved. Today marks not only a celebration of their GCSE results, but the beginning of the next chapter for every girl.
