GCSE Students Excel at Lord Wandsworth College
Students at Lord Wandsworth College near Hook are celebrating some of the school’s
best GCSE results, placing them in the top 10% of education providers for progress
made.
53% of results have been graded 9-7, an increase of 6% on last year. 14% of entries were awarded a grade 9, with 74% of all results achieving 9-6 grades.

This year’s GCSE English Literature and English Language results at LWC place the college in the top 1% for value added.
10 grade 9s are being celebrated today by Abeer and Olivia. Ophelia achieved 9 grade9s. Isla, Emily and Summer have been awarded 7 grade 9s, with Charles and Lottie earning 6. Annabel’s results have revealed 5 grade 9s.
These excellent marks follow last week’s impressive A-level results, which saw 70% of entries graded A*-B, with 90.5% A*-C, also placing LWC in the top 10% of educational providers in the country for sixth form progress.
Head, Adam Williams, commented, '
We are delighted with these excellent GCSE results at LWC. Both these and last week’s A-level grades are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students. They emerge from this summer, not only with great results, but so much more. Our approach has always been to widen their worlds and to encourage character, compassion and creativity. We aim to equip them with everything they need to set foot in the world, whilst inspiring them to change it for the better.
'Lord Wandsworth College has received national recognition for its outstanding pastoral care and begins the new term in September with bumper numbers. This approach works.'
