Camp Wilderness

Aimed at eight- to 16-year olds, these three- or five-day residential camps take place in seven locations across the UK. Campers stay in safari-type tents, immersing themselves in a tech-free natural world. Skills learned include how to build shelters and fires, cook outdoors and first aid. Afternoons of wild swimming and archery are followed with traditional summer-camp evening pastimes – barbecues, marshmallow roasting and singing around the fire. Electricals are banned; enthusiasm is encouraged.
