Sunsail Youth Sailing Academy

Ideal for those who want to take to the seas, Youth Sailing Academy, based in Portsmouth, teaches 13- to 17-year-olds all aspects of sailing. From hoisting and lowering the sails to steering, anchoring and even navigating, this is the go-to course for aspiring sailors. In addition to learning the nuts and bolts, other activities like shore games and beach barbecues are included. The Youth Sailing Academy course can be counted towards the RYA (the Royal Yachting Association) Competent Crew, Day Skipper qualifications or the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.
