The Future Leaders of the Year Competition

We’re on the hunt for The Future Leaders of the Year: students aged 15-18 with a great story.

But this isn’t your standard leadership competition... this is for everyone.

We’re on a mission to find future leaders of all kinds – creatives, problem solvers, scientists or musicians working on exciting projects. People who have led brilliant teams or initiatives. Entrepreneurs with great ideas. People who’ve led themselves out of difficult situations or overcome personal challenges. People who have supported their family, school or local community. People who’ve done something they’re proud of, have incredible talents or big plans for the future.

So, if you know someone who is doing something remarkable or has achieved something worth celebrating, we want to hear their story.

The Future Leaders of the Year Competition is a free leadership competition, allowing students to be seen, heard and developed by some of the biggest brands, influencers and young leaders in the world. The top 50 entrants will be invited to the grand final on 19th January, in which they’ll get to work with a team of the most senior leadership and life coaches– receiving the kind of development normally reserved for FTSE 100 CEOs. The top 10 Future Leaders of the Year will win a host of incredible prizes including £1k, work experience and mentorships from the world’s leading figures and organisations.

The competition is now open, and will close for applications at midnight on Friday 26th November. You can enter here.

The competition is running as part of The Future Leaders Project, a free schools initiative which is designed to support students to flourish in work and life - broadening their understanding of leadership, connecting them with employers and supporting them in making conscious, informed decisions about their future.

The Project is focused on giving students an understanding of the world they’re entering, supporting them to find their space within it and answering the big questions young people have. Questions such as…

  • What should I do as a career?
  • What do employers really want?
  • How do I stand out from the crowd?
  • What should I do with my life?
  • How do you launch a business?
  • Should I go to university?
  • How do I secure work experience?
  • How can I improve my wellbeing?
  • How do I become the leader of my life?
Despite only being in its first year, The Future Leaders Project has been a huge success, with a reach over 5.7 million students around the world, and there are some big names supporting this including Deloitte, Google, The BBC, Netflix, Nike, Facebook, Microsoft and Pearson.

The Project is bringing together an incredible collaboration of change makers from business and education, all of whom are passionate about supporting students to come out of what has been an incredibly challenging period stronger than ever.

And the best bit… The Future Leaders Project is completely free for schools and students, but spaces are limited.  If you’d like to find out more or register, click here.
